And the free copy of Tribes goes to…

Who explained in her comment why she needed a copy of the book:

As someone designing and developing products for users, in addition to providing user experience consulting for clients, I very much want and need to read Tribes. I’ve discovered myself how powerful my small community of people are that I talk to on Twitter… things get done faster and more efficiently that would not, or could not, before that tool came into my life. I’m fascinated with the psychological aspects of community and why people do what they do… that knowledge helps shape my product design, and I want to learn what Seth has observed and concluded that led him to write Tribes. It sounds like an awesome book!

Kris I will be e-mailing you soon to get your shipping address.

Dave and Chuck: thank you for participating.

Dave – Tribes is probably not the best book for finding communities and leveraging them for Spot Us. I’d actually recommend Groundswell if you’re in the market for a book on community engagement.

Chuck – If we were playing Apples to Apples, your answer would be a shoe-in. Unfortunately I can’t really get away with awarding the book to you given that I had “legitimate” answers…better luck next time! Also, if I ever run a contest on jason-preston.com, yours is the perfect type of answer.

Jason, I got my book today and wanted to thank you again!! I am really looking forward to reading it and seeing what Seth has to say about tribes – the word is getting a lot of buzz these days because the phenomenon is so interesting. In short order, I have found I can’t do without the people I tweet with. They make me smarter. :-)
