Attribution and Affiliation on AllThingsD

Some bloggers disagree with the linking habits of All Things Digital:

“Republishing online work without consent and wrapping it in ads is often called ‘feed scraping.’ At AllThingsD, it’s called ‘a compliment.'”

It’s about who benefits. If they grab my stories for free, it helps me more than them; I’m happy. If they grab Cory Doctorow for free, then the WSJ benefits; Cory’s unhappy.
