No News is Bad News 2: Making It Work

by Jason Preston on April 3, 2009

Many of you were at the first No News is Bad News event, and I think in most cases you came away feeling it was a good discussion, or at least an event that needed to happen.

NNBN is back, on Thursday, April 9th, from 7-9pm, at the same: Bertha Landis Room at Seattle City Hall.

In our collective words:

The forum will focus on current and near-term models for success in the post-newspaper framework. We are gathering a panel of local and national innovators to talk about their experiences finding and filling niches, gaining relevance with readers, and showing advertisers the power of local.

The panel is a damn good one, including Tracy Record (West Seattle Blog), Robert Khoo (Penny Arcade), Mike Davidson (Newsvine), Scott Durham (Instivate), and Rita Hibbard (InvestigationsWest).

For more on the panelists, check out the event site.

To sign up (free & voluntary) for the event, go to the Eventbrite page.
