For any post or page which takes a full copy of a publisher’s work, the Fair Syndication Consortium thinks the ad networks should pay a portion of the ad revenues being generated by those sites.

They’re latching on to an idea that I wrote about last August, which is fundamentally a good one, but as far as I know it still has a few problems:

Ad networks like Google’s AdSense could kickback to original content producers when it recognizes original content on other ad sites, leaving a giant, gaping question: how do you register your content? and should Google really be the entity that determines copyright online?
